PHP JackKnife Online Gallery Requirements

If you're not sure about these gallery specifications, you might consider giving Interpics.net a call and having them install it for you. We tried to keep everything in the gallery as standard as possible, but there are always combinations of hardware and software that we did not take into account. If you try to install the gallery on a system that isn't like one of these and it doesn't work, we'll be happy to take a look to see if there is something we can do to get it to work.

PHP JackKnife has successfully been tested on these systems:
OS Webserver PHP Version Database Email Thumbnailer
Windows 2000 Server IIS 5.0 PHP 4.3.7 MSSQL 2000 ASPEmail GflAX or PHP native calls
Windows 2000 Advanced Server IIS 5.0 PHP 4.3.7 MSSQL 2000 ASPEmail GflAX or PHP native calls
Windows 2000 Server IIS 5.0 PHP 4.3.7 MySQL 4.0.20b ASPEmail GflAX or PHP native calls
Windows 2000 Advanced Server IIS 5.0 PHP 4.3.7 MySQL 4.0.20b ASPEmail GflAX or PHP native calls
Linux (kernel 2.4.21-15.ELsmp) Apache 1.3.31 PHP 4.3.7 MySQL 4.0.18 sendmail PHP native calls

The current requirements are as follows:
  • One of the OS's listed above. Other *nix flavors and Windows servers will probably work.
  • MSSQL 2000 or MySQL 4. It will probably work with MySQL 5.
  • CDONTS, ASPEmail (www.serverobjects.com) or sendmail for sending emails on Windows. *nix boxes require sendmail.
  • GflAx (www.xnview.com) for dynamically creating thumbnails and Alternate View images on Windows. PHP native works on both Windows or *nix. PHP native calls is the only method on *nix boxes.
  • Your PHP installation must not be in safe mode.
