PHP JackKnife Online Gallery Features

There are tons of features in this gallery software. It is nearly impossible to list them all, and even the ones we have listed are just some because there are all sorts of combinations you can do to make your online gallery totally personalized and totally cool!

This is not like the normal gallery where you have one or two log in's and a couple administrative levels. With PHPJK you can make a whole gallery community with people uploading images and managing galleries that they created. Or you can assign community leaders to manage specific categories. Or galleries. Or you can specify who can view which catgories or galleries.

You can also put in a lot more than images into this gallery. Some people use it as a general file repository where they put in MP3's, Excel files, PDF's, movies, etc. The code is really optimized so when you have 10s of thousands of galleries and images, the site does not slow down like you would expect.

Administrator Features
Images
  • Support for GflAx (www.xnview.com) and native PHP code when creating thumbnails and Alternate View Images. GflAx can process up to 100 different image and video types.
  • Support PHP native calls (means you don't need to add any Active-X, COM or server extensions) for creating thumbnails and Alternate View images from JPG, GIF, PNG, and BMP.
  • Reference images. Administrators, and users with the proper rights, can now share images in an unlimited number of galleries on their site.
  • Manage robots. Administrators can "lock down" a site so only members can view images. Normally this would also lock out search engine robots, limiting a sites visibility in the search engines. Now, even with a site locked down, administrators can allow robots to index their site.
  • Each image can include an unlimited number of onsite or offsite links, copyright notices, and keywords.
  • Each image can include search keywords. Keywords are displayed with the image as "Quick Search" links.
  • In addition to all of the "built-in" data fields that come with each image, administrators can also create an unlimited number of custom fields.
  • Images all include name, alt tag, and description.
  • Use HTML in image descriptions.
  • Track number of views of each image.
  • Date/time image uploaded.
  • Up to four "Alternate View" images can be included with each image entry.
  • Each Alternate View image requires a specific right to view - great for paid subscriptions.
  • Administrators can choose to allow everyone to view Alternate View images, just members, or require that members have specific rights to view these images.
  • Create Alternate View images by dynamically resizing the primary image , or upload your own Alternate View images. Alternate View images can also be processed when adding images through the bulk copy feature via FTP.
  • Gallery owners can manually change the order of all images in their galleries.
  • Move images & files between galleries.
  • Administrators specify how many products appear with the images.
  • Administrators can assign products to categories. This means that all images within all galleries in that category get assigned those products.
  • Administrators can assign products to galleries. This means that all images within the gallery get assigned the products.
  • Administrators can assign products to individual images.
  • Administrators can create their own products, or connect to any ODBC compatable data source to dynamically retrieve product info.
  • Upload images without component.
  • Administrators can specify a missing thumbnail image.
  • Optionally upload thumbnail.
  • Create an unlimited number of images.
  • Add images in bulk via FTP.

  • Non-image files can have optional thumbnails.
  • Administrators can set the number of days for the "New" icon to appear with images.
